Catherine Emmanuel Onwioduokit, affectionately called Mama Cathy, is the founding president of Family Renaissance International (formerly Women in the Gap International), which has been in existence for decades. Family Renaissance’s vision is to restore God’s Kingdom purpose for marriage and family.
Mama Cathy is an ordained minister of Christ, a fiery preacher of the Gospel of Christ, a conference speaker, a pre-and post-marriage coach and a certified family life practitioner. Her passion is to see marriage and family restored to the proper functioning order as God intended.
Mama Cathy is the author of three books: The Secrets to Surviving Your Early Years of Marriage, The Family in National Development, and Emotions & Love Life.
Additionally, she runs a few outreach programmes, including The Students’ Healthy Sexuality Program (SHSP) for youths in the basic and high schools.
She has been the host of the Echoes of Hope weekly broadcast, now called Families Together, for over 17 years on Sunny 88.7 FM.
With over twenty years of dedicated service, Mama Cathy has helped numerous couples and those about to marry navigate the complexities of marriage. Her comprehensive approach combines the Bible and evidence-based techniques, ensuring each couple receives the support needed to thrive in their marriages.
Born and raised in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, Mama Cathy has been residing in Ghana for over twenty years. She has been happily married to her husband, Professor Emmanuel Onwioduokit, for over 33 years, and together they are blessed with four wonderful adult children.
